This one-hour self-study continuing education course will focus on comparing and contrasting Bankart repair, Bankart repair with remplissage, and a laterjet procedure as a surgical intervention to shoulder instability.

Target Audience: PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, ATCs

Course Objectives

  • Describe the anatomy, pathophysiology involved in anterior, posterior, and multi-directional instability of the shoulder​
  • Explain the mechanism of injury for an anterior dislocation and posterior dislocation/subluxation of the glenohumeral joint​
  • Discuss rehabilitation considerations in the treatment of shoulder instability​
  • Compare and contrast Bankart repair, Bankart repair with remplissage, and a laterjet procedure as a surgical intervention to shoulder instability.
