This one-hour self-study continuing education course will focus on anatomy and MOI of medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction (MPFL). The goal of this presentation is to teach clinicians about the anatomy, pathophysiology, surgical interventions, and rehabilitation concepts that can be applied to MPFL patients post-operatively.

Target Audience: PTs, PTAs, ATCs

Instructional Level: Beginners, Intermediate

Instructional Methods: Online video with PowerPoint

Course Completion Requirements: must complete the entire 1-hour course and complete the post-course test

  • Understand the anatomy and MOI of MPFL injury and reconstruction
  • Understand the surgical indications and contraindications for MPFL reconstruction
  • Be able to design a comprehensive POC for patient post-operative MPFL reconstruction
