LGBT-Inclusive Care in Rehabilitation

This one-hour self-study continuing education course will focus on teaching clinicians how to facilitate clinical initiatives that support LGBT-inclusive care. Clinicians will learn to identify common issues affecting the LGBTQ+ population and discuss research on LGBT-inclusive care in rehabilitation.

Target Audience: PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, ATCs

Instructional Level: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced

Instructional Methods: Online video with PowerPoint

Course Completion Requirements: must complete the entire 1-hour course and complete the post-course test

  • Identify common issues affecting the LGBTQ+ population
  • Discuss research on LGBT-inclusive care in rehabilitation
  • Accurately use terminology that supports the LGBTQ+ community
