


This 1-day practical course provides the necessary
steps to progress a concussed patient from acute
phases through return to activity. Join us as we
provide step-by-step education to address all
aspects of concussion care including, on-field
assessment, in-clinic evaluation of vestibular and
cognitive issues, special topics relating to
concussion care and developing/implementing a
return to activity plan for successful recovery. This
course utilizes both lecture style learning with open
format as well as laboratory type learning to
ensure participant engagement and success.
Target Audience: PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, PTAs
Instructional Level: Beginners
Instructional Methods: Hands-on lab, lecture with Q&A, group discussion, patient cases, evidence review
Course Completion Requirements: must attend the entire 1-day course and complete the post-course test

Course Objectives
- Verbalize effective assessment/treatment for all aspects of Concussed patients, including Vestibular, Cognitive, Balance and Musculoskeletal.
- Demonstrate the ability to design effective treatment and rehabilitation programs for concussed patients in all patient populations from initial injury to return to play/participation.
- Verbalize steps for a Concussion Management Program and utilize it in physical therapy practice.
