We recognize that the outpatient setting poses a challenge to new and seasoned clinicians alike. Our Foundations course is designed to provide a clinician with applicable framework beginning with the first encounter and throughout the patient’s clinical experience. Participants will be confident in their decision-making skills when choosing appropriate dosing and incorporation of exercises based on stages of healing. They will have a basic understanding of various types of manual therapy skills, how to assess, and how to safely implement in the outpatient setting. A post-course survey is required upon completion of the course. This is a 1-day virtual course eligible for 8 credentialed hours.

Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Efficiently and effectively analyze patients’ subjective information to highlight important areas and guide decision making throughout the clinical experience.
- Efficiently and effectively analyze a patient’s objective measures in a functional manner to guide decision making throughout a plan of care.
- Apply a framework for therapeutic exercise prescription based on the stages of healing.
- Have a basic understanding of how to balance utilization of manual therapy for assessment and treatment techniques.
